Heterogeneity of Decoupling Between Economic Development and Carbon Emissions in China's Green Industrial Parks

Abstract On the path to carbon neutrality, journey net‐zero emissions in industry is achievable, and green development of industrial parks crucial for a smooth transition. We examined sample 171 certified by China's Ministry Industry Information Technology (MIIT). Using Tapio decoupling model, we conducted analyses at both national regional scales their economic growth environmental conservation three consecutive years. Spatial heterogeneity found carbon‐economy states carbon‐pollutant synergy effects. Industrial east China present better effects than other regions. The CO 2 determinants were explored using STIRPAT model. variable value‐added per capita, which representative growth, presents positive significant effect on emissions; energy output proportion high‐tech industries negative effect. However, after dividing into groups leading industries, influence variables started show power discrepancy. analysis this study can provide basis developing diversified strategies Chinese under emission goal.
